                         STUDYING STORY

My English was once very poor.  English was my biggest headache.  I got sick and tired of learning boring grammar rules and lifeless words.  Though I have been studying medical English for a long time, but I still can’t hear and speak it.  It’s made me lose my confidence.

This year I joined an English class and I’m studying very hard to improve my English skills..Through hard work in practicing of writing, listening, and speaking English, I found myself a totally different and exciting new world.  Now I can chat and write articles in English, also I have several foreign friends such as Mr Zhuan from Malaysia and Eric from America.

Eric is a good friend who I met on the internet. He is a computer software engineer. He helps me in my learning English.  I even saw him on web cam.  Mr Zhuan is a math teacher in Malaysia and he is a overseas Chinese. They are very nice and handsome men.  I am glad to meet them. Eric wish that we can speak on the telephone further. I believe that I will can do it.

Through these foreign friends are very patient to help me in practicing, I have made a lot of progress now.  My teacher has said, ”To speak good English, I think one year of study should be enough for any diligent and intelligent person.”  That’s right!  Never give up, just try my best!

Now I began to use English which used to be my biggest problem. I want to make my homepage in both Chinese and English.

As a doctor, I want to help more leukemia patients.  I have set up “Doctor Lan’s leukemia recovery support workroom.”  The purpose lies in offering Leukemia patients free consultation and make it a bridge in which Leukemia patients can establish their confidence and obtain helpful information.  I believe more and more people will join the group of marrow donating.  I really hope in the near future these patients can have a chance to gain a new life as me.

I study English with this aim.

Thank you very much!
